Foreword [Volume 14 No. 6 (2014)]

EBOLA, EBOLA, EBOLA, where have you come from?

Just when Africa is trying to move forward FINALLY, here you are out of nowhere, stalking us, destroying us, decimating us, and showing no mercy!

Who will save Africa? Who will get us a cure? A vaccine?

We already do not have enough health workers, yet those are the ones being taken away. Parents are dying, leaving their children to suffer.

We have no healthcare facilities to go to, and yet, this is not a disease like malaria which can be treated in one's own house, surrounded by loved ones? This is a bad disease. Hunger is ultimate, when people are too afraid to go and till their farms, and many are sick or dead anyway. Thank God for the donations of food and other supplies and for the health personnel sacrificing their lives, some leaving their scared loved ones behind, and thanks for the world attention; this may be Africa's emergency, but it is an international challenge.

Now, how does it help us to be denied entry to other countries, or to be quarantined? Africa needs investments, we need our friends to come or for businesses and visit, we need to do the same in other continents.

This disease is bad for everyone.

GOD, give us a cure fast PLEASE! JUST DO that to save mother continent. THANK YOU!

Issue 66 is here.

We have 8 thoroughly reviewed papers that we hope will interest our scientific community.

In this issue we have highlighted young scientists working hard to make a difference, and have carried some important reprints and NEWS, and have a great commentary on food waste/loss.

Please contact us anytime if you would like to serve as a guest editor or can provide a commentary on a topical issue.
