Call for Papers
SUNRAY: Sustainable Nutrition Research for Africa in the Years to come
In the framework of the SUNRAY project 'sustainable nutrition research needs for Africa in the year to come', we have extended our call for expert papers May 15. (the date where we would like to receive expressions of interest and the proposals). We are calling for state of the art expert papers on following topics:
1. Climate change and potential impact on nutrition in Africa
2. Trends in international, regional and domestic markets, and potential impact on nutrition in Africa
3. Socio demographic changes and potential impact on nutrition in Africa
4. Trends in water availability and accessibility and potential impact on nutrition in Africa 5. Social dynamics and potential impact on nutrition in Africa
The papers will provide important input for SUNRAY (http://www.sunrayafrica.co.za/) and in particular develop recommendations for nutrition research to support "sustainable nutrition" for the next 10-15 years to mitigate the impact of potential environmental changes on nutrition in Africa. We budget a maximum of 15.000€ per paper to cover the expenses.
Please find the description of papers and more details here (PDF flyer). Please contact me (CLachat@itg.be) or psanpedro@IntermonOxfam.org ASAP if you are interested to participate in the write-up of one of the papers.
