Philip Yeboah

Philip Yeboah received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana, West Africa. He served as Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Animal Science Department of the same University. He was later employed as a Teaching Associate, responsible for teaching courses, assisting senior faculties in research, and supervising undergraduate project works. After four years of working as a Teaching Associate at The University of Cape Coast, he won a fully sponsored PhD position in Animal Science at The Ohio State University, USA, where he is currently a Graduate Teaching and Research Associate specifically focusing on Poultry Microbiology. His research interest focuses on poultry gut health and microbiome. His work develops recombinant vaccine technologies, feed additives and probiotics selection, methods and assays for measuring gastrointestinal inflammation in chicken, focusing on enteric disorders and ante mortem, and managing food pathogens. He has essential skills in DNA/RNA extraction, Real-Time PCR, Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), Bicinchoninic acid Protein Assay etc. At the Ohio State University, he is the student representative at the Graduate Council Committee at the Animal Science Department and the Graduate School Level.
