Tantine Alwanga

I am Tantine Alwang,a, a 2nd year student at Moi University, Kenya studying Applied statistics with computing. I have been working AJFAND for the past 2 months as an intern.

My experience at AJFAND has been overwhelming. Having worked as an editorial  assistant in the production of the journal, I have been exposed to a lot of things that have made me appreciate importance of nutrition, food security and agriculture in Africa as the emerging issues in the respective fields are greatly highlighted in the articles. As part of my course that am taking at the university, I often write a lot of research papers and AJFAND has given me the opportunity to perfect my skills majorly in writing scientific research papers. Reviewing as part of my duty, I have learnt the importance of grammar and flow of the article.

It has been a great experience and would like to thank the Editor –in-Chief and staff for giving me an opportunity of working with them and being co-operative. I would also like to encourage my fellow students and everyone to visit the website as it is a great read. Am looking forward to working with them again.
