The Bioavailability 2010 conference on micronutrients will be held at Asilomar, California, September 26-30, 2010. Asilomar is a state funded facility, beautifully located on the Pacific Ocean between Monterey and Carmel, south of San Francisco. We anticipate some 150-200 participants.

The Bioavailability 2010 conference has the following major themes:
1) The role of bioavailability when setting recommendations (DRI, DRV)
2) Genetic/individual influences on bioavailability 
3) Biofortification  
4) Bioavailability - applied studies and advances in methodology.

The 4th Africa Nutritional Epidemiology conference (ANEC IV) will be held in Nairobi, Kenya from 4th - 8th October 2010. ANEC is the leading regional conference on nutrition in Africa providing a nunique opportunity for food and nutrition scientists, health professionals and policy makers, representative of NGOs, private sector organizations and international organizations with an interest in Africa's nutrition agenda to meet biennially in an African country. ANEC conferences are organized by the Africa Nutritional Epidemiology Society (ANES).
